PrepLicense: MY PCIL

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the PrepLicense: MY PCIL mobile application ("the App") developed by Sai Chun Christopher Tang ("we", "us", or "our"). By downloading or using the App, you agree to these Terms.

1. Description of Service

The App is an independent study tool designed to help users prepare for the Pre-Contract Examination for Insurance Agents (PCIL) set by the Asian Institute of Insurance (Aii), Malaysia — Part A Fundamentals of Insurance, Part C Life Insurance and Part D Investment-Linked. The App provides original practice questions, mock exams, analytics, and study aids in English, Bahasa Malaysia and Chinese.

2. Scope

The App covers the PCIL paper only. It does not cover the general insurance examination, takaful-specific examinations, or any other qualification. Eligibility, registration and the requirements for appointment as an agent are determined by the Asian Institute of Insurance, Bank Negara Malaysia, the Life Insurance Association of Malaysia and your insurer, not by the App.

3. Not Official Exam Material

The App is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or associated with the Asian Institute of Insurance, Bank Negara Malaysia, the Life Insurance Association of Malaysia or any insurer. All questions are original content written to the published syllabus and the Acts, policy documents and codes it tests. The App does NOT reproduce, mirror, or scrape any portion of the actual examination item banks, which are not public. We do not guarantee that using the App will result in passing any examination.

Nothing in the App is financial advice, legal advice, insurance advice, or a recommendation about any policy, fund or product. The App explains what the rules and the syllabus require so that you can answer examination questions about them. For advice about a particular policy, investment or legal question, consult a licensed agent, a lawyer or another qualified professional.

5. Currency of the Rules

The Asian Institute of Insurance revises its syllabus, and Parliament, Bank Negara Malaysia and LIAM amend the Acts, policy documents and codes it rests on. Content is written against the versions current at the time of publication and updated as new versions are issued. Always verify against the current Aii syllabus and the legislation before relying on any answer for professional purposes. Actual exam rules follow official announcements.

6. Subscriptions and In-App Purchases

The App offers an auto-renewable subscription to unlock premium features. One plan covers all three parts and is available monthly, for three months, or yearly:

Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period at the same price.

You can manage and cancel your subscriptions by going to your Account Settings on the App Store after purchase. Any unused portion of a free trial period, if offered, will be forfeited when you purchase a subscription.

7. Free Tier

The App offers limited free access, including a subset of practice questions for each part. Premium features require a subscription. There is no one-time purchase.

8. Intellectual Property

All content in the App, including questions, explanations, translations, graphics, and design, is owned by us or licensed to us. Short excerpts of Malaysian legislation, Bank Negara Malaysia policy documents and LIAM codes are quoted for identification and study purposes; those source materials belong to their respective publishers. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from the App's content without our written permission.

The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, or that the content is completely accurate or current with the latest Aii syllabus, legislation, policy documents or codes.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App, including but not limited to examination results, appointment decisions, or any insurance or investment decision made in reliance on the App's content.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. The "Last Updated" date above indicates when the Terms were last modified.

13. Apple Standard EULA

In addition to these Terms, your use of the App is also governed by the Apple Standard End User License Agreement (EULA).

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Malaysia, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

15. Privacy

Your use of the App is also subject to our Privacy Policy.
