PrepHK: Real Estate
This Privacy Policy describes how the PrepHK: Real Estate app ("the App") handles your information.
Summary
The App is an offline study tool. We do not collect, store, or share your personal data. Your quiz history, bookmarks, and preferences are stored locally on your device only.
Data Stored on Your Device Only
- Quiz attempt history (scores, answers, timestamps)
- Bookmarked questions
- App preferences (language, exam type)
- Practice streak data
This data never leaves your device. We cannot access it.
Data Collected by Third-Party Services
RevenueCat (In-App Purchases)
If you make a purchase, RevenueCat processes the transaction. RevenueCat may collect purchase receipts, anonymous device identifiers, and subscription status. See RevenueCat's Privacy Policy.
Apple (App Store) / Google (Play Store)
Apple and Google process all payments and may collect data as described in Apple's Privacy Policy and Google's Privacy Policy.
PostHog (Anonymous Analytics, Android only)
The Android version of the App uses PostHog to collect anonymous product analytics — app open events, quiz start/completion events, paywall views, and aggregated device metadata (model, OS version, screen size, IP-based country). A randomly generated anonymous identifier is used; no personal information, account, or login is associated with this identifier. Data is stored on PostHog Cloud (US region). See PostHog's Privacy Policy.
Data We Do NOT Collect
- No personal information (name, email, phone)
- No precise location data
- No advertising identifiers
- No user accounts or registration
- No content of your answers or notes
Data Sharing
We do not sell, trade, or share any user data with third parties beyond the service providers listed above (RevenueCat, PostHog, Apple, Google), each of whom processes data only as needed to provide the corresponding service.
Data Deletion Request
You can delete your data at any time:
- On-device data (quiz history, bookmarks, preferences): use the in-app Reset Statistics option, or uninstall the App. All locally stored data is removed immediately.
- Anonymous analytics (PostHog, Android): because the data is keyed by a randomly generated anonymous identifier, deleting the App removes the only reference to it on your device. To request server-side deletion of the identifier and all associated events, email scctang12@gmail.com with subject line
Data Deletion Request — PrepHK: Real Estate. We will process the request within 30 days. - Subscription data (RevenueCat): subscription history is retained for accounting purposes. To request deletion of RevenueCat anonymous user data, email the same address.
The App does not require an account, so there is no account to "close." Uninstalling the App is sufficient to stop all on-device collection.
Data Retention
All on-device data lives only on your device until you delete it. Anonymous analytics data on PostHog Cloud is retained for up to 12 months for trend analysis and is then automatically aggregated into non-identifiable summaries.
Children's Privacy
The App does not knowingly collect any personal information from children under 13. The App is a study tool that does not require any personal information to use.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected in the "Last Updated" date above.
