PrepLicense: SG Real Estate

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the PrepLicense: SG Real Estate mobile application ("the App") developed by Sai Chun Christopher Tang ("we", "us", or "our"). By downloading or using the App, you agree to these Terms.

1. Description of Service

The App is an independent study tool designed to help users prepare for the Real Estate Salesperson (RES) Examination set by the Council for Estate Agencies (CEA) of Singapore — Paper 1 and Paper 2 on the 2027 syllabus. The App provides original practice questions, mock exams with case studies, analytics, and study aids.

2. Scope

The App covers the two papers of the RES Examination only. It does not cover the Real Estate Agency (REA) Examination for key executive officers, the RES course itself, or the CMFAS insurance and financial advisory modules administered by the Singapore College of Insurance. Eligibility, registration and the requirements for a licence are determined by the CEA and the examination administrator, not by the App.

3. Not Official Exam Material

The App is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or associated with the Council for Estate Agencies, NTUC LearningHub or any Approved Course Provider. All questions are 100% original content, authored in our own words to the published CEA syllabus, the Estate Agents Act 2010 and the regulations, guidelines and other legislation it tests. The App does NOT reproduce, mirror, or scrape any portion of the actual examination item banks, which are not public. We do not guarantee that using the App will result in passing any examination.

Nothing in the App is legal advice, property advice, tax advice, or a recommendation about any property or transaction. The App explains what the rules and the syllabus require so that you can answer examination questions about them. For advice about a particular property, transaction or legal question, consult a registered salesperson, a lawyer or another qualified professional.

5. Currency of the Rules

The CEA revises its syllabus and guidelines, and Parliament and the regulators amend the Acts, regulations and policy figures they rest on — stamp duty rates, loan limits, HDB rules and the like. Content is written against the versions current at the time of publication and updated as new versions are issued. Always verify against the current CEA syllabus and the legislation before relying on any answer for professional purposes.

6. Subscriptions and In-App Purchases

The App offers an auto-renewable subscription to unlock premium features. One plan covers both papers and is available monthly, for three months, or yearly:

Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period at the same price.

You can manage and cancel your subscriptions by going to your Account Settings on the App Store after purchase. Any unused portion of a free trial period, if offered, will be forfeited when you purchase a subscription.

7. Free Tier

The App offers limited free access, including a subset of practice questions for each paper. Premium features require a subscription. There is no one-time purchase.

8. Intellectual Property

All content in the App, including questions, explanations, graphics, and design, is owned by us or licensed to us. Short excerpts of Singapore legislation and CEA guidelines are quoted for identification and study purposes; those source materials are works of the Government of Singapore and the Council for Estate Agencies. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from the App's content without our written permission.

The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, or that the content is completely accurate or current with the latest CEA syllabus, legislation or policy figures.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App, including but not limited to examination results, registration decisions, or any property transaction entered into in reliance on the App's content.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. The "Last Updated" date above indicates when the Terms were last modified.

13. Apple Standard EULA

In addition to these Terms, your use of the App is also governed by the Apple Standard End User License Agreement (EULA).

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Singapore, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

15. Privacy

Your use of the App is also subject to our Privacy Policy.
