PrepLicense: CFA® Exam Prep

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the PrepLicense: CFA® Exam Prep mobile application ("the App") developed by Sai Chun Christopher Tang ("we", "us", or "our"). By downloading or using the App, you agree to these Terms.

1. Description of Service

The App is an independent study tool designed to help users prepare for the CFA® Level I examination. The App provides original practice questions, a mock exam, analytics, and study aids.

2. Not Official Exam Material; Trademark Notice

The App is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or associated with CFA Institute. CFA Institute does not endorse, promote, or warrant the accuracy or quality of this product. CFA® and Chartered Financial Analyst® are registered trademarks owned by CFA Institute. The "CFA" name is used here only descriptively to identify the examination the App helps you prepare for.

All questions are 100% original content, authored in our own words from public sources and the published Level I topic outline and Learning Outcome Statements (LOS). The App does NOT reproduce, mirror, or scrape any portion of the CFA Institute examination item bank, end-of-reading questions, or mock exams, which are non-public and copyright-protected. We do not guarantee that using the App will result in passing any examination.

3. Subscriptions and In-App Purchases

The App offers auto-renewable subscriptions to unlock premium features:

Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period at the same price.

You can manage and cancel your subscriptions by going to your Account Settings on the App Store after purchase. Any unused portion of a free trial period, if offered, will be forfeited when you purchase a subscription.

Actual prices follow localized App Store pricing for your region; please refer to the App Store for the current price.

The App offers limited free access, including a subset of practice questions. Premium features require a subscription.

5. Intellectual Property

All content in the App, including questions, explanations, graphics, and design, is owned by us or licensed to us. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from the App's content without our written permission.

The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the App will be error-free, uninterrupted, or that the content is completely accurate or current with the latest CFA® Program curriculum. The curriculum and exam structure change over time — always verify against the official CFA Institute curriculum before relying on any answer for professional purposes.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App, including but not limited to examination results or any professional or financial decision made in reliance on the App's content.

9. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. The "Last Updated" date above indicates when the Terms were last modified.

10. Apple Standard EULA

In addition to these Terms, your use of the App is also governed by the Apple Standard End User License Agreement (EULA).

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of New York, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

Your use of the App is also subject to our Privacy Policy.
