EAQE Estate Agent · SQE Salesperson — Registration · Format · Passing · Licence — 2026
Q1: What is the difference between the Estate Agent licence and the Salesperson licence?
Estate Agent (E Paper): The Estate Agent qualification. Once licensed, the holder may operate independently or supervise salespersons. The exam covers all 8 Parts, and candidates must pass Part I and Part II in the same sitting.
Salesperson (S Paper): The Salesperson qualification. The holder must work under the supervision of a licensed estate agent. The exam covers a narrower syllabus and is generally considered an easier entry point.
Q2: What is the passing mark for the EAQE?
Part I (multiple-choice questions): 60 questions; a pass requires 36 marks or above (60%)
Part II (case studies): 40 marks; a pass requires 24 marks or above (60%)
Note: Part I and Part II must be passed together in the same sitting. Failing either part means both parts must be retaken.
Q3: How often is the EAQE held? Can I retake it?
The EAA holds the examination multiple times throughout the year. If you do not pass, you may re-register with no limit on the number of attempts. Check the latest examination dates on the EAA official website before applying.
