PrepLicense: TW Securities & Futures

This Privacy Policy describes how the PrepLicense: TW Securities & Futures app ("the App") handles your information.

Summary

The App is an offline study tool. We do not collect, store, or share your personal data. Your practice records, bookmarks, and preferences stay on your device.

Data stored only on your device

• Practice attempt records (scores, answers, timestamps)
• Bookmarked questions
• App preferences (language, exam type)
• Practice streak records

This data never leaves your device and we cannot access it.

Data collected by third-party services

RevenueCat (in-app purchases)

When you make a purchase, RevenueCat processes the transaction. RevenueCat may collect purchase receipts, anonymous device identifiers, and subscription status. See the RevenueCat Privacy Policy.

Apple (App Store) / Google (Play Store)

Apple and Google process all payment transactions and may collect data under their own policies. See the Apple Privacy Policy and the Google Privacy Policy.

PostHog (anonymous analytics, Android only)

The Android build uses PostHog for anonymous product analytics, including app-open events, practice start/complete events, paywall view events, and aggregated device information (model, OS version, screen size, IP-inferred country). A randomly generated anonymous identifier is used; it is not linked to any personal information, account, or login identity. Data is stored in PostHog Cloud (US region). Data we do not collect

• Personal information (name, email, phone number)
• Precise location
• Advertising identifiers
• User accounts or registration data
• The content of your answers or notes

Data sharing

Other than the processing necessary for the service providers listed above (RevenueCat, PostHog, Apple, Google) to deliver their services, we do not sell, trade, or share any user data with third parties.

Data deletion requests

You can delete your data at any time:

• On-device data (practice records, bookmarks, preferences): use the in-app "Reset statistics" function, or uninstall the App. All locally stored data is removed immediately.
• Anonymous analytics data (PostHog, Android): because the data is keyed to a randomly generated anonymous identifier, deleting the App removes the only reference to that identifier on your device. To request server-side deletion of the identifier and all associated events, email support@preplicense.com with the subject Data Deletion Request — PrepLicense: TW Securities & Futures. We process these within 30 days.
• Subscription data (RevenueCat): subscription records are retained for accounting purposes. To delete RevenueCat anonymous user data, email the address above.

The App does not require an account, so there is no concept of "closing an account". Uninstalling the App stops all on-device data collection.

Data retention

All on-device data remains on your device until you delete it. Anonymous analytics data in PostHog Cloud is retained for up to 12 months for trend analysis, after which it is automatically aggregated into non-identifiable summaries.

Children's privacy

The App does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. The App is a study tool and requires no personal information to use.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date above.
